Summer Solace’s Regenerative Tallow® blended into extra virgin biodynamic olive oil infused with nettle, comfrey, Damascus rose, and Roman chamomile, non-nano zinc oxide, French burnt umber, organic jojoba oil, essential oils of vetiver and Spanish sage.

Using clean, dry fingers, scoop a small amount of Botanical Tallow + depending on the area to be treated.

Warm Botanical Tallow + gently in the palm of your hand until it softens and melts. This helps evenly distribute the mineral ingredients.

Massage or press into clean skin wherever desired — face, hands, body, lips, feet, hair or dry areas of scalp. The soft tint will blend naturally as Botanical Tallow + melts into the skin.

For time outdoors, apply to exposed areas of skin and reapply as needed.

Texture & Seasonal Adaptation
Because Botanical Tallow + contains no emulsifiers, stabilizers, or synthetic thickeners, its texture naturally responds to temperature.
In warmer temperatures, Botanical Tallow + may soften. If exposed to extreme heat, refrigerate briefly to restore a firmer consistency.
If it fully melts, leave the lid off and allow it to re-solidify in the refrigerator.

In cooler temperatures, Botanical Tallow + may become firmer. To soften, warm the jar in your hands or briefly place it in a gentle water bath.

Is this a sunscreen?

No, Botanical Tallow + Zinc is not a sunscreen.

In the United States, products marketed as sunscreens are regulated by the FDA as over-the-counter drugs. To carry sunscreen claims, a product must meet specific FDA requirements for formulation, testing, labeling, and drug-category compliance.

Zinc oxide is one of the active mineral ingredients the FDA recognizes for use in OTC sunscreen products, however, that does not make Botanical Tallow + Zinc a sunscreen.

Does Botanical Tallow + have an SPF rating?

No.

SPF is a standardized laboratory measurement that can only be assigned after formal testing according to FDA protocols.

Will I see or feel this product after it is applied?

Yes, Botanical Tallow + Zinc is specifically formulated with non-nano Zinc so that it purposefully sits on the surface of the skin without penetrating. When you mix French Burnt Umber, a natural earth pigment, with Zinc, it reduces the bright white color, evening the appearance of redness, adding a soft tint that helps the mineral blend more seamlessly into the skin and gently balancing overall tone for a more natural finish outdoors, across a wide range of skin tones.
